Peter Pettalia for the 106th
Leadership for difficult times, Experience to make a difference

Business Owner, Property Owner and Family man

Peter has served northeast Michigan for the last 30 years. As a strong community and business leader, he has experience working with citizens and all levels of state, local and federal government. He has a gift for bringing parties of different opinions to work together to achieve common goals.

“I love northern Michigan. As a long time resident and business partner, I know firsthand the hardships that a down economy can cause. That is why I am running to be your state representative. I know what it will take to turn our economy around. I will fight to help control the rising cost of living for our families so we can continue our way of life here. This is my number one priority.”

He and his partner’s auto repair business has been successful for 31 years because they know their customers ARE their business.

Peter understands local government. He will visit all counties in the district-- every month-to stay informed. He knows this level represents the citizens.  With your vote he will be your voice in Lansing.

He has been married to his wife, Karen, for more than 30 years. Together they have volunteered in their community while starting/running a business and raising their family. They have two children, and a son-in-law who want to live and work in northeast Michigan.  They have a seasonal cabin rental business on Grand Lake, in northeast Michigan.

Peter has worked hard to support his community.  He has helped, through the use of grants, to purchase two lighthouses for the township.  They are practically self supporting and require few township funds to operate acres of public park lands.

10 miles of pedestrian bi-paths were constructed along the roadway with grants and local support.

He has been instrumental in developing a strong committee structure for the township of Presque Isle.

He was one of the founding members of the Presque Isle County Economic Development Commission and the Community Development Commission.

He served as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years.

He is an avid sportsman who supports outdoor recreation.

Member of the Presque Isle Museum Society, the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Alpena Downtown Development Authority.
